Alteratives to talk about

Okay, so let's talk about some alternatives supplements to boost ones health.

Remember always discuss using supplements with your primary care physician. At least let them know what your taking them so they do not interact with your prescription medication.

Cinnamon
     *Helps to regulate blood sugar. So individuals with diabetes can think about adding cinnamon to their diets.
    
   * lt has anticoagulant properties. Most people know this as "blooding thinning agent". Even though there is no su ch thing. "Blood thinner" don't really exist. Medications know as such, in reality, make chemicals in the blood work so that they are less sticky or break blood clots apart. So if your on "blood thinners" tell your doctor your taking cinnamon.
    
   * Fights E.coli bacteria-Cinnamon is great for taking as a supplement to ward off bladder infections.
    
   * Helps with arthritic pain
    
   * Natural source of Manganese, fiber, iron and calcium

Peppermint:
     Is used for the common cold, cough, inflammation of the mouth and throat, sinus infections, and respiratory infections. It is also used for digestive problems including heartburn, nausea, vomiting, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), cramps of the upper gastrointestinal (GI) tract and bile ducts, upset stomach, diarrhea, bacterial overgrowth of the small intestine, and gas. Lastly peppermint helps relieve headaches.

Pumpkin:
     Pumpkin is know to benefit the body in over 100 ways with its vitamins and minerals. There are enzymed in pumpkin that work on the skin and make it look younver. Alpha-hydroxy is a natural fruit/vegateble acid found in pumpkin which help to slough off dead cells to reveal younger, fresher skin. There are products on the market that use pumpkin in their ingredients for facial masks but you can make your own with all-natural ingredients.

Some of the vitamins and minerals found in pumpkin include the following:
    
     * Vitamin A: Which plays an important role in eye health, immune system and proper growth and    
     development.
     * Fiber-Half a cup of canned pumpkin has 6.5 grams of effective carbohydrate and 3.5 grams of fiber.
     *Potassium
     * Vitamin C
     * Zinc
